Gu Family Book Episode 10 Review

My boy Kang Chi!! Finally, he's not messing up stuff and doing his job!!

So fuck boy is being suspicious and figures out that behind the picture is secret door which leads to the mountains of dough. Kang chi and Yeo-wool are able to hold onto the door to keep fuck boy from barging in. He runs off to go tell Gwan-woong that there's something important. But he places guards so that no one messes with the painting. Great. Kang Chi and Yeo-wool are stuck.

Meanwhile, Gwan-woong is chillin with the gisaengs, mainly leering at Cheong Jo...pervert. Soo-ryun is part of the good crew it seems, because she too received a letter, to take action against Gwan-woong's tyranny. She orders the gisaengs to serve him a different type of liquor to keep him preoccupied with the gisaengs for a couple of days. And succeeds in doing so.
Yeo-wool ends up passing out from her infected wound and that's when Kang Chi figures out who she is from their childhood memories. Cute. I guess.

Tae-so can't just sit back and not do anything, so he comes up with a plan to distract the guards so that Kang chi and Yeo-wool can get out. It works, so Gon is able to carry Yeo-wool out...but Kang Chi stays behind...Hm...He must have a plan.
Since Gwan-woong is passed out from drinking, his fuck boy minion comes back and fights Tae-so. But he still has hold over Tae-so, so Tae-so is not able to break the hypnosis and ends up revealing the plan of the Good Crew. MAN.
Fuck Boy storms in and destroys the wall behind the painting...and lo and behold...finds the silver. Oh man. He runs out to go get Gwan-woong because they just found a serious amount of dough!! And he places guards outside...but Kang Chi is still inside the hidden warehouse. YES!!!!!!
In the morning Gwan-woong comes back to the Inn and sees the people of the Inn carrying stuff on a wagon. Of course Fuck Boy is suspicious, but they let them go. They have to deliver food to the Navy, it happens annually.
When Gwan-woong goes into the warehouse, he finds the silver gone! WHAT!!! HOL UP! And that's when he realizes that they were taking the silver to the army and his men go after them. Ah dang.
But that's when I realized, this has gotta be a distraction haha.
And it sure was. Gwan-woong's men tear up the hay and find that it is actually filled with rice! The Navy Admiral is pissed that they destroyed a bunch of rice and that could've fed his men for a month. Gwan-woong said he would compensate, but Navy Admiral wasn't having ANY OF THAT. He declared that no one from the 100 Year Inn can step foot at their base camp, and they will not accept ANYTHING from them and kicks Gwan-woong out. HAHAHAHAHA TAKE THAT SUCKA!!
As they're about to leave Kang Chi comes in with the wagons, clearly containing the silver. Fuck Boy gets mad and tries to go after him, but he's not allowed to. Fuck Boy and Gwan-woong are PISSED.
WAY TO GO KANG-CHI!!!!

They're so cute!!
This was a great episode, Kang Chi is no longer fucking things up and he's finally useful haha. I loved that they were able to distract Gwan-woong and successfully obtain the silver!! I'm also glad that they didn't make a big deal out of Yeo-wool being a girl. Kang Chi doesn't have any feelings for her yet so it's cool. But it would be nice for things to speed up in the romance department.
As for the Evil Crew, I'm sure that Gwan-woong will do anything in his power to de-flower Cheong Jo and get Kang Chi since Kang chi openly revealed to him that he's not a human! That was a great line!!
But Cheong Jo is getting on my nerves in terms of them having to go save her. I want for them to focus on Kang Chi's path as a gumiho. We only spent an episode on that dilemma, and then they moved on. Having to go save Cheong Jo will cause more problems and I'm annoyed with it. If we can quickly save her, lets do it so we can move on.
