Rooftop Prince Ep 14-16 Review

Episode 14

This episode was filled with foolishness.

Yi Gak reveals that Se Na is a LIAR!! THAT'S RIGHT, SNATCH HER WIG! So of course Se Na quickly recovers from the shock at being discovered and starts the water works. REALLY? She starts talking about how she only lied because she was jealous of Park Ha. that's why she wanted to send her off. REALLY? She says that Grandma was the one who told her to give the plane ticket to Park Ha. REALLY?!!!!!! UGHHH. I cannot. He somewhat believes her and says that he will apologize on Grandma's behalf. Oh my goodness, I can't believe him!!

Se Na quickly runs over to see Grandma and explain what happened, acting all pitiful and what not. Of course she takes Se Na's side and starts blaming things once again on Park Ha. Se Na explains that Yi Gak bought an apartment right across from the company for Park Ha, so Grandma is pissed. She dismisses that Se Na used her and said that she would've gotten rid of Park Ha herself, without a plane ticket. Ouch. They are starting to piss me off!!

However, thankfully, Yi Gak doesn't really believe Se Na's story because she's so fickle and she lies too much. So, he follows her car, going all the way to her apartment where she meets Tae Moo in the garage. Yi  Gak sees them embrace and finds out that Se Na and Tae Moo were dating. More lies.

Then, Yi Gak follows Se Na again, this time to the apartment where she lives with her mother. Uh oh. He remembers being here with Park Ha, then makes the connection. He watches Se Na and Mother talk and they mention Park Ha's name. Well. The gig is up!! Yi Gak goes to piece the puzzles together! FINALLY! I'm glad he's taking things into action, because I just finished watching Bad Guy and it PISSED ME OFF that no one could put anything together. They wasted like 15 episodes doing nothing. Anyways, Yi Gak calls Se Na out to talk. Let the showdown begin!!!

So, Yi Gak starts off about the plane ticket and starts calling her A LIAR!!! YES!! She gets pissed and tries to storm off, but Yi Gak stops her and says, "SIT DOWN!!! You will not leave until you hear everything I have to say. SIT DOWN!" HYFR!!! SNATCH THAT WIG!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHUT DOWN! She was looking mighty weak! THAT'S RIGHT TRICK, SIT YO ASS DOWN!!!!!!!!! He tells her about the relationship with Tae Moo and that Park Ha is her sister. He calls off the engagement and dismisses her like a pimp. "YOU ARE DISMISSED" TRICK!!!!! She's so shocked that she just sits there and Yi Gak yells, "GET OUT!!!!! LEAVE!!" That's right!! I'm glad he's taking initiative because Park Ha didn't snatch the wig yet. GO HEAD BOY, GET EM!!!!!!! Yall have no clue how happy I was after watching this wig snatching scene lol.

Yi Gak returns home and tells the crew that the engagement is off because Se Na is not the same as the Crown Princess. They're kinda mad that the whole reason they are there in the first place is to marry Se Na, figure out what happened to the Crown Princess and get back to the Joseon era. Yi Gak apologizes and realizes that fate has changed since he likes Park Ha instead. The crew are gloomy and realizes that they may never get back LOL. But Man bo wants to support Yi Gak's decision so they decide to go tell Park Ha that the engagement is off. Awww. I'm glad they no longer think she's irrelevant. However, once they reach this decision, the boys flicker out of sight for a little bit then return. UH OH!!!!! They are running out of time!!!

The crew go to pick Park Ha up and she quickly returns. Right into Yi Gak's arms. Awwwww. Cute.

Meanwhile, Se Na goes to drown her sorrows in liquor. Trick. Then she goes to see Tae Moo and he loves her so much, he still accepts everything she does. Ewww and awwww. He really does love her, even though they are evil. They both agree to get rid of Tae Yong and Park Ha. Well. This definitely won't end well if our heroes don't step it up a notch.

Yi Gak goes to Grandmother's house to stop Se Na from getting there first, which he does. Trick. He's going to explain why he's breaking the engagement but he won't expose her lies just yet. Interesting and well played, he's gonna snatch her wig later I guess. So he goes inside, only to find Tae Moo already there, he's already told Grandma about him breaking the engagement. Dang. Trick. Yi Gak tries to explain but Grandmother won't hear it. Instead, she's going to make Tae Yong CEO. Wow. IN THEIR FACES! Tae Moo and his father look hella shocked and start to freak out. Well then. The gig is up now, finally?  No. Tae Moo then reveals to his father that Se Na is Chairman Jang's daughter. Se Na will end up with her shares and she'll split it with Tae Moo, enough to take over the company. Welp. Never mind then. Our villains have the upper hand now. Our heroes only have the truth...man...So, in order to prove that Se Na is the daughter, not Park Ha, they conceive that Se Na will have to steal some hair from Park Ha. WHY THOSE EVIL MONKIES!!!!!!! I can't believe it!!!

Yi Gak and his crew are at work, and he begins to explain that the Crown Princess and Se Na are not the same. The Princess is beautiful, Se Na is wicked. Well duh, but the Crown Princess isn't exactly a rose, she has thorns remember? She purposely burned her younger sister so that she wouldn't get to become the princess she was supposed to become. Evil wench. So Yi Gak tells them to investigate Tae Moo closely. So, the crew start on this and start getting close with security teams and female workers to get some dirt on him.

During Yi Gak's presentation about Jinan, Tae Moo looks at the picture of Tae Yong in the hospital. CREEP. All of a sudden, on the screen, there's a picture of Tae Yong in the hospital, and Tae Moo jumps up and yells, "THIS IS THE REAL TAE YONG, HE'S IN A HOSPITAL IN A COMA, THIS TAE YONG HERE IS AN IMPOSTER!!!" WHAT THE HECK??? REALLY? Chaos ensues, Grandmother faints, and Tae Moo goes up and punches Yi Gak! WTF!!!

Oh wait. It was a dream. PHEW. Seriously though, that's ridiculous.

At the end, Tae Moo congratulates Yi Gak because his presentation was successful. But he goes up to threaten him that his time is up. Ok. Your time is up.

Se Na comes home and wants to invite their mother and Park Ha to go out to eat. Really trick? So Se Na tries to be all buddy buddy to Park Ha. FAKE. Then they go off to a sauna, and it seems like Park Ha is letting her guard down. DON'T DO IT!! DON'T TRUST THIS TRICK. Park Ha reveals some memories about her sad childhood and it kinda looked like Se Na showed true sympathy for her or something. I don't know, nor do I care. They go to the bathroom to comb their hair and Se Na lets Park Ha borrow it. After she combs her hair, she gives the comb back and Se Na stores it to be used for the DNA test. Trick.

So Chairman Jang is ready to sign off her shares to Se Na, and she does it. Man. This is it for Se Na, there's going back now. So Tae Moo comes in after she signs and he tells her that her daughter Se Na, is downstairs. She goes down, but goes into shock(even though she knew it was her) and goes up to take her medicine, saying they will meet again. Apparently, according to Chairman Jang, Se Na is her daughter, yes, but she wants the other daughter she doesn't know about, as in Park Ha. Omo. So she had 2 daughters?? WTF. It's time they clear this foolishness up, I'm tired of guessing. 

Se Na and Chairman Jang have a meeting but this time she greets her. She asks Se Na about her childhood memories and talks about what Park Ha said about her childhood. WENCHHHH TRICK!!!! But Chairman Jang is shocked, because how could Se Na know that when she wasn't born??? Well. Definitely shooting herself in the foot now...

At the end, Yi Gak makes a connection that Park Ha is Bu Yong, the crown princess's younger sister. Uhm duh, we covered that already didn't we??

Well, there's definitely more plot development, I just wished they would start solving some mysteries. Is that really Park Ha and Se Na's mother? Did Chairman Jang give up both of them?? But that can't be right, since Park Ha is younger than Se Na. Unless she had Se Na with someone else and gave her up, then had Park Ha and too left. So she adopted them??? Ugh. And what happened to Tae Yong, did Tae Moo get rid of him?? Who killed the Crown Princess?? Will they get back to the Joseon or somehow stay and fade in and out of existence? We've got 6 more episodes so they need to hurry this up.

Episode 15

So once again, Yi Gak makes the connection that Park Ha is Bu Yong. We got it. He tells her about how she was in the past blah blah blah irrelevant info. Later on, the two sneak out and go watch fireworks together. Cute. The crew find out because they wanted to go too and like power walk chase them out of the park. HILARIOUS. However, as they were watching the fireworks, Yi Gak for the first time began to fade out pretty much completely, but then reappears. Uh oh.

Earlier, Se Na had dinner with Chairman Jang and starts calling her mother. Chairman tells her that her real name is In Joo, created from the mixes of her father's name and Jang's name. Se Na responds by saying Father used to tell her that all the time. In Chairman Jang's head however, she says that's not true. The name came from accidentally spelling Jin Joo wrong repeatedly. Therefore, she's really starting to suspect Se Na. Uh oh. She definitely keeps shooting herself in the foot...but I'm still completely confused. I'll get to that later...

Our heroes return home after Yi Gak explains to the crew that Park Ha is Bu Yong's sister. However, more questions arise. How come they landed on Park Ha's rooftop, instead of at Se Na's house??? That is a good ass question that I didn't even think about. Now I'm really starting to suspect that Bu Yong did have something to do with the crown princess's death...interesting. Or maybe they really are supposed to help Park Ha reunite with her real mother and exploit Tae Moo and Se Na's lies....interesting. I'm sick of being confused!!!! Anyways, the drunk Chi san explains that he heard rumors about the reality of the situation with the crown princess and Bu Yong. That she did burn Bu Yong's face. Yi Gak is pissed and now starts to suspect that maybe the Crown Princess isn't so innocent after all...

Park Ha, Yi Gak, and Jang Sun-joo(Chairman Jang) and Chairman suggests that Park Ha work as her secretary now. *GASP* OH REALLY NOW? YES!!!!! I started grinning like mad when I saw that scene. WE ARE SECRETLY SNATCHING WIGS NOW!! They go to another hotel and as they are talking, Tae Moo and Se Na show up! They see them laughing together and they immediately freak out. Yea. That's right. Se Na calls Park Ha to ask where she is and Park Ha explains that she is now the secretary for Chairman Jang. Uh oh. So Tae Moo calls the Chairman saying that Se Na won't be able to meet her that night because she is caught up in an accident. Well. This will definitely be interesting

That night, Se Na drops by to apologize to Sun-joo about not showing up earlier. She dismisses it. Se Na is confident so she proceeds by saying they should thank Tae Moo since he's the one that brought them together. By repaying him back, she asks if Chairman Jang could vote for him at the CEO elections. Sun-joo didn't necessarily say she would, but she said if that's what her daughter wants.

Se Na tells the good news to Tae Moo and they are excited. They've got this in the bag now.

In the morning, Se Na and Sun-joo have breakfast and Park Ha walks in on them. She overhears Se Na calling her 'mother' and boy that sets her off!! Let the wig snatching begin!!

Chairman returns to her room to get ready for the day and Park Ha goes to settle things with Se Na. She's mad that's she calling someone else Mother and denying her real mother at the same time. She throws a glass of water on Se Na!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE SNATCHED THE WIG!!!!!!!! Se Na responds saying that's none of your business and proceeds to throw a glass of water on her, but Park Ha stops her AND THROWS THE WATER ON SE NA AGAIN!!!!!!1 DOUBLE WIG SNATCH!. Home girl slayed.  SLAYED.

Park Ha returns to Sun Joo since she's now her secretary. She tells Park Ha to deliver an envelope to the CEO election since she won't be going. Uh oh. So is she really gonna vote for Tae Moo??

During the election, we see that it's a tie, both Tae Moo and Tae Yong have 4 votes, we need a tie breaker. Tae Moo and his father start to look worried since Chairman Jang hasn't showed up, however Park Ha arrives just in time with the vote. They give a sigh of relief however...CHAIRMAN JANG VOTED FOR TAE YONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!! WE SNATCHED SOME MORE WIGS!! Tae Yong(Yi Gak) is now the CEO!!! Tae Moo and his father are PISSED! And we dance.

Se Na meets up with Sun-joo asking why she switched her vote to Tae Yong instead. She responds by saying that Se Na really isn't In Joo, did you really think you could get away with such an evil lie. YES. Wig snatched again!!!!!! She tells Se Na to live. You are dismissed trick.

Meanwhile, Tae Moo gets slapped by his father because he is hella pissed about him losing. LOSERS!!

Park Ha and Yi Gak go off together after his win and they buy couple rings. CUTE. However, while they're sitting in their usual spot somewhere I don't know lol, Yi Gak starts to fade away right in front of Park Ha's eyes. She realizes what's going on and starts crying. Once he reappears, she hugs him tightly without explaining what happened to her.

That night, the crew sneak into Tae Moo's office to find out why he suddenly went to Chicago. Turns out that Pyo taek soo is there too and he explains everything. They meet up with Yi Gak and he explains that  Tae Moo went to Chicago to try to bring Tae Yong to Seoul. *GASP* NOOOOO!! ANDWE!!! ANIYA!!! This is the last trump card Tae Moo has and he certainly played it well.

We cut to Tae Moo's plane landing and Tae Yong is being transferred to the hospital. The crew quickly follow in a car however they lose track of it. Hilarity ensues.

In order to find out which hospital Tae Yong was transferred to, Yung sul comes up with a plan that by running into some barrels, they will be able to call the police, saying the ambulance caused a fender bender. While they're at the police station, Man Bo can use his memorization skills and recite the license plate number. Good thinking!!

Meanwhile, Yi Gak is supposed to meet up with Park Ha for a date but he gets a call that Tae Moo is about to do something with Tae Yong, while the father calls a board meeting for the dismissal of the CEO. Uh oh. Yi Gak rushes off to the hospital to stop whatever it is Tae Moo is going to do. Park Ha is left in the park waiting on Yi Gak. She finds his jacket(he was watching her but left his jacket when he rushed off) and tries to call him. She starts freaking out because maybe Yi Gak has actually disappeared for good...

At the hospital, the crew get into place to stop Tae Moo. Yun-sol is dressed in a Nurse's uniform and Chi san cross dresses like an actual nurse. BWAHAHA. Man Bo is dressed as a doctor, he is to stop Tae Moo from reaching the floor Tae Yong is on. Yi Gak arrives and the 3 go off to go and take Tae Yong.

Man bo pretty much fails at stopping Tae Moo lol. Yun sol and Chi San start wheeling Tae Yong out with Yi Gak behind them. Meanwhile, Tae Moo arrives on the floor and Yi Gak sees this, so he slips back into the room so he won't be seen. Chi san and Yun sol successfully get past Tae Moo, however, Man bo arrives too late and almost sets Tae Moo off. However, he goes inside to find Tae Yong still laying in the bed....but...that's Yi Gak!!!!!!!!

They get ready to start the meeting and Tae Moo creates the broadcast. He throws the shade by calling Yi Gak an imposter and the real Tae Yong is in the hospital behind him unconscious with little chance of survival. Grandmother is getting ready to faint, everyone is freaking out...but then....Yi Gak slowly gets up and says, "Tae Moo ah?"

HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was the best episode EVER. We had the constant snatching of wigs, the truth is starting to reveal itself, our heroes are starting to squash the villains, and now there's a twist put in. I really want to know what's gonna happen. Seriously. This is the first time I've been completely blind sided by a Korean Drama, normally everything is so predictable I can figure things out. But this drama is a breath of fresh air. However, I'm still super confused. How is it that Chairman Jang still doesn't know which one her daughter is? Here's what I know: Chairman gave up both Se Na and Park Ha. Se Na ended up with Mother, and Park Ha with her father went with them. But since Se Na is a wench, Park Ha is in a car accident and sent to an orphanage in America. The father I guess leaves too since his daughter is gone and died 2 years ago. Chairman Jang shows up now that Park Ha is back, but Mother is at first keeping her away from Se Na. So when she finds out that's her daughter, she's surprised and freaked out and wants to spend time with her. Now that Se Na is now pretending to be her daughter, shouldn't Sun-joo be happy?? How is it that she's looking for her other daughter Park Ha???? How does Mother know that Se Na is not Chairman's daughter yet tell her she is, what about Park Ha. THIS IS TOO MUCH!! With 5 more episodes, I cannot stay in utter confusion, it's pissing me off!!!!!!

Episode 16

We begin with Yi Gak waking up, calling out Tae Moo's name. Grandmother faints and Tae Moo freaks the flip out lol. YES! But now, new problems will arise with this. Yi Gak is now truly pretending to be Tae Yong, while the real Tae Yong has been transferred to another hospital. Yi Gak asks why's he here then looks down and notices he's wearing his couple ring. He hides his hand and pretends he has a headache. Tae Moo tries to recover and asks if he remembers him and Yi Gak says he does. Well. Things have certainly turned in a different direction.

Park Ha is still waiting on Yi Gak in the park. She really does believe that's he gone and starts crying as she returns home. She has hope because the lights are on, however the house is empty. She breaks down and I feel so sad...

In the morning, Yi Gak, Pyo Taek-soo and the crew have a meeting to discuss the next step. Tae Yong is to remain at an unknown hospital while they live with him. Yi Gak is to return to Grandma's house and absolutely NO ONE is to have contact with anyone. The crew must remain undercover since everyone believes Yi Gak disappeared and that Tae Yong is really out and about. Yi Gak must now act just like Tae Yong and they cannot explain anything to Park Ha. Awww, poor girl.

Yi Gak goes to see the real Tae Yong before he moves into Grandmother's house. I found this scene highly impossible because of the laws of physics and time traveling. Two of the same people CANNOT be in the same place at the same time. But whatever. Suspend disbelief. Yi Gak assures Tae Yong that he will avenge his death and fight for him! Good!!

Yi Gak has now completely transformed into Tae Yong and comes to the company. He meets up with the cautious Tae Moo. He says he still doesn't have interest in the company, just like Tae Yong, so Tae Moo will just take care of everything. This almost convinces Tae Moo, so he asks him about whether or not Tae Yong can still remember what happened in America. Yi Gak says it's not amnesia, he remembers America, just not the accident. Tae Moo freaks out about how to answer him when he says they did meet in America. However, he recovers and says they did not meet. Yi Gak's plan is starting to work for we can tell that Tae Moo is anxious, but we must find a way to out him so Yi Gak will continue to play Tae Yong to leer him in.

Meanwhile, Park Ha is talking with Pyo Taek-soo because she cannot contact Yi Gak and Crew. Taek-soo says they all disappeared at the same time for they have not come to the company also. This is the wrong thing to say. Poor, poor Park Ha. She runs into Tae Moo and he eyes her closely because Tae Yong(Yi Gak) will be coming around the corner. Yi Gak hesitantly passes her by and Park Ha keeps on walking since he didn't talk to her. Maybe that is the real Tae Yong and Yi Gak did go back to Joseon. Man. As soon as he's out of sight, Yi Gak turns the corner and rushes back to Park Ha but he's too late. He just looks at her back as she leaves in agony. Awwwwwwwww/ AHHHHHH.

Tae Moo goes back into his office and finds a fax that says, 'MURDERER, LIAR.' and he remembers that last tense confrontation with Yi Gak when he snatched his wig lol. He starts freaking out and realizes that the imposter is still toying with him. Uh, yeah.

Yi Gak returns to the rooftop to get Tae Yong's phone for evidence that Tae Moo did meet up with him in America. As he's about to leave, Tae Moo comes in, frustrated. What's he doing here?!! ONCE AGAIN, HOW IS IT THAT SE NA AND TAE MOO CAN JUST ENTER SOMEONE'S HOME!!!!!!!!!!! They need locks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yi Gak slips out just as Park Ha returns and finds Tae Moo trashing her place, looking for something. EXCUSE ME! She asks what he's doing and he asks her what happened to the imposter and crew it's important they find him. She says she wasn't a victim at being deceived and tells him to leave. Uh, no. I would told him to pick my stuff up off the ground and clean the place, then he can leave. We don't play that, she needed to snatch his wig!!!!!

Yi Gak goes to see the crew at Taek-soo's house and they complain about not having any clothes and eating pizza and what not, so they go shopping. Um, what about laying low guys, we cannot blow our cover!!!! Idiots lol.

Se Na and Tae Moo meet up because Sun-joo is asking to meet with her. Tae Moo says that Se Na needs to get close with Park Ha and keep her away from Chairman Jang. Really. It's kinda too late to try to get close with her after the epic wig snatching in korean drama history.

So she meets with her and basically Sun-joo just asks her if she knows who the real In Joo is. She also admits that Tae Moo was the one who told her to lie to Chairman Jang. Again with the foolishness. She says no however how is it that she could recite a true story that did happen between Park Ha and her father. Se Na stupidly replies she heard that kind of thing on the radio. Really. Ok.

Park Ha goes back to the company watches Yi Gak closely. He starts putting his hands behind his back just like the Crown Prince and as he pulls his phone out of his pocket, the couple ring falls out and rolls all the way to Park Ha. It's really him!!! She snatches him and starts yelling and crying. Yi Gak hugs and proceeds to tell her why he's gone. She realizes now that she cannot keep looking for him and goes, but he kisses her right before she leaves. AWWWWW YAY!!!

However since they are out in public on the freakin stairwell, don't you think someone would see?? KEEP IT LOW YOU GUYS!!! I know in typical Korean drama history, someone is guaranteed to be lurking behind a corner somewhere...thankfully, we don't see this happen...yet.

Yi Gak goes into Tae Moo's office to snoop and finds half of the picture Park Ha has of her family. He's about to pull it out to reveal who her mother is when Tae Moo walks in. Yi Gak plays it off and Tae Moo gets a package. Lo and behold, it's a picture frame of Tae Moo and Tae Yong together in New York. BOW! Tae Moo freaks out but Yi Gak says they have to go eat lunch with Grandmother.

When they arrive, a package comes in with the same color box that Tae Moo just got. He tries everything he can to keep them from opening it but the Aunt beats him too. It turns out to be a picture of a puppy. Awww lol. But seriously, what is the meaning of that?? Tae Moo is driving and receives a call from an unknow number. Turns out to be Yi Gak ready to toy with him. YES! Snatch that wig!!

Yi Gak just calls to say "What do you think I want?" leaving Tae Moo extremely pissed. He's able to trace the call to a payphone which just so happens to be right across from the rooftop house. REALLY? So Tae Moo goes over, yelling for the imposter to come out and yelling at Park Ha. He once again starts throwing things and messes up the porch. TRICK. Yi Gak is aware of all this and watches from the distance. Once Tae Moo is gone, he texts Park Ha to come meet him. Park Ha dresses up and goes to the subway with Tae Moo trailing behind since he knows those two are still keeping contact with each other. Just as they get on the train, Park Ha suddenly hops off, leaving Tae Moo. YES! WIG SNATCHED! For a second I really did think she was dumb and just let him follow her. 

Park Ha meets up with Yi Gak and he tells her about the picture. How come Tae Moo has it? Yi Gak will try to take a pic of it on his phone when he gets a chance.

Park Ha meets with Tae Moo to find out why he has the picture. He's a little shocked at first about how she would know he has it, but he recovers. He won't tell her anything unless she tells where the imposter is hiding. She storms off of course.

Meanwhile, Se Na eats dinner at home with her mother but she reveals that Park Ha might find her biological mother(Chairman Jang) soon. Se Na runs off in a hurry, freaking out of course. Se na goes to see Tae Moo about it and he quickly burns the photo of Park Ha's mother. NO!!!!!! ANDWE!!!!!!!!!!!!NO!!!!!!! When Yi Gak goes into the office the next day to find it, it's already been burned. Man.

Park Ha meets with Chairman Jang, talking about how she's too looking for her biological mother and unfortunately she doesn't show her the photo she does have. GRRR!!!!! PABO!!!! Sun-joo adds that she too wants to look for her child and hopefully they will be successful. Um. Yall are right there in front of each other...

Sun-Joo and Mother have a talk. With Sun-joo constantly calling her unnie, I really do think they're related. So. Sun-joo had Se Na, but gave her to her sister to take care of, she acknowledges this. However, from the way she talks, I don't think she knows Sun-joo had anothe daughter(Park Ha) which she too gave up...maybe...Father found out about the other child Sun-joo probably had with another man and leaves her, tearing up the picture and taking Park Ha(In Joo) with him. That's probably it!! Finally I'm no longer confused, I just need confirmation now...

Sun-joo is going back to Hong Kong since she can't find her daughter and as she's on the phone, Se Na overhears her saying she's gonna take her daughter back to Hong Kong. Se Na mistakes this as Park Ha and sun-joo reuniting. She runs off to call Tae Moo about this unfortunate news.
