Running Man Episide 99 Review

Our Guest today are actors from the upcoming movie King Gwangtteo, famous sageuk actors Lee Tae Gon and Im Ho!!

It starts off with a typical Running Man opening, the guests enter and jokes are followed, then they are told the missions.

First, they must choose teams, so the two 'kings' will play 'rock, paper, scissors' and choose two servants. The 3 that remain will represent countries and make their own team. So Im Ho's team is Jong Kook and Gwangsoo(BWAHAHA), Tae Gon's team is Haha and Jae Suk, and Ji hyo's team is Suk Jin and Gary. BWAHAHA, this should be very interesting indeed.

Today's mission is to fight for the 9 territories in the Territory King Race!

First Territory: 'Comb Wrestling'- prevent the 2:8 Hair Style. What lol. They have to block the strongest PD, the one from the episode with the ahjussis and they were pedaling on the ride. Yea, him. He's super strong. They have to block him from parting their hair lol. Gwangsoo of course fails, followed by Im Ho. But then, the Commander Jong Kook goes and of course DEFEATS HIM! The minute he started, he blocked his arm, wah, daebak!!! KIM JONG KOOK!!! But because of 2 of his team didn't win, they can't proceed, it has to be 2 out of 3. Next is Suk Jin's failure followed by Gary lol. Jong Kook and Gwangsoo finally pass so they get to leave first. Once they complete a mission, they have to take a pic and upload it to ensure that a territory is already taken. So Im Ho has 1 territory at the Hair Salon.

Second Territory: Since Tae Gon decided to take a different route, they went to another territory. 'Make the cat climb on your lap'. Alright Running Man lol. The cat is pretty stubborn so they could be there all day. LOL. After a while, they finally get the cat to sit on their lap and they succeed. They get the cafe territory.

Third Territory: This wasn't shown, but Ji Hyo's country captured a Bookstore territory while Tae Gon's team were dealing with the cat, so now everyone has 1 territory each. 

Forth Territory: Traditional Korean restaurant- both Ji hyo's team and Tae Gon's team are doing this mission. One person tastes the food and explains to the others behind a curtain what it tastes like, but they can only talk about the taste. No specific questions or what it looks like aloud. Gary uses a very poetic description of Beef Tartare but Ji hyo and Suk jin don't get it LOLLLLLLLLLLLL. They fail again so now on the other end is Tae Gon's team. Tae Gon will eat while Jae Suk and Haha guess what it is he's eating. They also fail. Haha tries and they too fail.

Ji hyo tries the eating test and they answer correctly 5 seconds before the other team guesses correctly! Daebak!! So Ji hyo takes the Korean Restaurant territory and has 2 under her belt.

Fifth Territory: While all of that was going on, Im Ho's team went somewhere else to do drawing charades, where one person holds what it is they draw, then the others will draw it, and the last person has to guess what it is. They have to get 3 correct, but they fail of course lol.

Sixth Territory: Tae Gon's team after realizing they failed at the restaurant, immediately go to the next location. It's called 'Shoot the Ice Cream' where if they can shoot the stick after eating their ice cream, they succeed. The king, Tae Gon is eating the ice cream popsicle while being held by Jae Suk and Haha, and he shoots the stick into the trash can and misses lol. Ji hyo's team followed them, so once again, it's whoever finishes the mission first gets the territory. Tae Gon's team start to give up after failing many times. After a while, Ji hyo gets it after like 3 times! Daebak! Compared to all the ice cream Tae Gon ate lol. So now Ji hyo has 3 territories!!

Seventh Territory: 'Multiplication Table Back Neck'- they have to answer 5 times straight without a mistake, if you don't, you get a punishment for the back of the neck. LOL. Tae Gon's team gets there first, and is of course followed by Ji hyo's team. The punishment we quickly find out is being slapped in the back with cold water LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. After much slapping and clearly being dumb, Haha wins and they now have 2 territories.

Eighth Territory: Jong Kook's team were doing something else with soup and they get that territory. So if I'm correct, Ji hyo has 3 territories, Im Ho has 3, and Tae Gon has 2.

Ninth Territory: The last piece of land is the Laundry Shop which everyone is now going to. 'Your Highness Jump Rope' is the mission, two people will of course hold the rope and jump, while the king has to jump in and jump 5 times for them to succeed. Running Man, you kill me lol. Everyone clearly fails. THAT'S HARD, why would Running Man PDS do this lol. Jeezzzz. Anyway, everyone tries again lol. Tae Gon's team gets it!!!!!! Woohoo!!! So now everyone has 3 territories!!

Final Location: Since it's a 3 way tie, they will have a final battle to see which nation conquers all! Muahahahahaa. Sorry lol. There are 9 name tag lands behind each person. If they rip it off, they will receive that country and whoever gets all the lands wins. Rather, each team gets 3 names so it depends on who they distribute them to. So Tae Gon has 2 lands, and someone else has the other one. Ji hyo has all 3 so Gary, while being attacked, sacrifices himself and is out first. Awww, the Monday Couple forever!!

 All of a sudden, it is announced that Im Ho is out! Oh??? Who did it? It wasn't Jong Kook or Gwangsoo, it wasn't Tae Gon and Haha, so was it Suk Jin? Was it Ji hyo? Everyone is freaking out trying to see who got him out lol. Funny. The Mystery Death of King Im Ho. Unless there's something we don't know about Running Man!!!

 So there's a showdown between Ji hyo and Suk jin after being questioned about Im Ho's death by Tae Gon. Tae Gon chases them into the mouth of the lions with Haha and Gwangsoo waiting for them. Now, I found it funny when Jong Kook just stood back and watched. Normally he would help and he started listening to what Ji hyo was saying before she died. 

Anyways, they get Suk jin out first then Ji hyo. So now everyone is extremely suspicious of Gwangsoo because Suk jin said they were hiding when Im Ho was killed. Now, mind you, they could've been lying. But they weren't!! It is revealed that Gwangsoo took out Im Ho's nametag, but why? Why betray his own team member?? But waiiiiiiiit, this Gwangsoo we're talking about lol, the Icon of Betrayal. No one really believed that he would actually be a spy, but yes, he is a spy or rather an invader lol. Since Jong Kook is in confusion which I can understand, he sends Gwangsoo away to think. He can't just give up his teammate like that because then Jong Kook will be all alone, but then again, Gwangsoo is a traitor he will eventually kill Jong Kook if at all possible, so he just sends Gwangsoo away lol. Then the mind games continue. Jong Kook is able to somewhat turn the suspicion onto Haha by saying perhaps there are 2 spies. Oh?? Is there?? It now becomes the showdown between Jong Kook and Tae Gon! Ooooooooh!!! But of course to save his ass, Jong Kook tells them to get rid of Gwangsoo so it'll be an interesting 3vs1 battle. Kekekeke, he has made the decision!

There's a somewhat intense battle between Tae Gon and Gwangsoo because Gwangsoo lashed out with strength too!! But in the end....THEY BOTH TORE OFF THE TAG AT THE SAME TIME!!!! Daebak.

And now, it's a crazy mind game caused by suspicion. After proving that Gwangsoo is a spy, Jae suk is now accusing Haha at being a spy, saying there could be two. Which actually makes sense if there was more than 1 to be honest. So Jae suk points the finger at Haha, Haha points the finger at Jong Kook.

 Oohhh interesting.  When Gwangsoo went into jail, he announced all of a sudden, 'There's still 1 spy left.' See!! Ahhhhh!! I knew there could be 2, and it must be Jong Kook!! Because 1)Jong Kook didn't do anything when they were attacking Ji hyo and Suk Jin!  2) When Jong Kook told Gwangsoo to go upstairs, Gwangsoo said, 'Hyung, you promised to protect me!' At that time, I thought he was just saying that to cover up his suspicion as a spy, but now that could also mean that Jong Kook is a spy! Jong Kook hasn't gone after ANYBODY the entire time compared to usual!! So, Jong Kook is a spy.

But then, while they are talking, Jae Suk is adamant about Haha being a spy. He brought up the valid point about when they were deciding who should get the land name tags, Haha said 'You two have the name tags because I cannot be out no matter what.' 0.0 DAEBAK!! So then Haha is a spy. After my long explanation of it being Jong Kook lol. 

They start giving Jae Suk a hard time because he has to decide. Jong Kook offers to give up his name tag to reveal that he really isn't a spy. But then if Jae suk does that, Haha has the possibility of being a spy and Jae suk loses. But Haha is saying that if he takes out Jong Kook, he will remove his own name because that means his team won. Ahhh the decisions decisions. If Haha isn't a spy, Jae Suk will surely die by Jong Kook lol. I honestly don't know. I would take out Haha, just because he is a spy lol. Haha is extremely cunning lol.

After much bickering and arguing, Jae suk just wants them to deal with it. So Jong Kook tears off Haha's name tag and he screams, 'I'm a SPY' and kicks his hat LOLLLL. Sure enough, it is revealed that Haha too was called in early with Gwangsoo because out of the Running Man members, those two are the traitors lol. Gwangsoo the Icon of Betrayal, Haha the Cunning Trickster lol. You really don't want any of them on your team when it comes to Running Man lol.

So, Jong Kook just plays around with Jae suk and tosses him all over the place and of course gets him out. Therefore, Im Ho's team wins!!

This was a nice episode, had it's funny moments but not much. The missions were very interesting and entertaining or rather only the ones that were actually aired lol. I liked the twist at the end, suspecting 2 spies but see, of course that is announced by the Running Man members. They just threw that fact in there. I think that after the new season starts because next week is the 100th episode and it seems like they are perhaps changing things up. But hopefully, the members won't act as much, it won't be scripted, things will be spontaneous, and they bring back Hide & Seek lol.
