Mystery Zombie Race
Omfg, the opening!! Starts with Gwangsoo getting beat by his mom, going on a school field trip and they have Gangsta's Paradise by Coolio playing in the background. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Gwangsoo says, 'Fields Trips are for losers' lol, so apparently he is like a delinquent or whatever. LOL.
Then there's Jong Kook with all those muscles, he's the nerdy one, studying in the library.
Next is Gary working at a convenience store LOL, he fits right in with all these jobs because he's so plain looking LOL. Ji hyo is at a makeup store, putting on too much lipstick, she is known to be the prettiest girl in the school lol.
Suk jin is at a cyber cafe, playing video games, but he's actually purchasing stocks. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL.
Haha is a rich student who doesn't want to study abroad. They have the 'ALMOST PARRRRRRRRADISE~~~' theme from Boys Over Flowers playing in the background LOL.
Then Jae Suk is the school's best dancer and they have his 'Step by Step' theme in the background LOL.
That was seriously the best Running Man opener ever. LOL
First Mission: After everyone is on the Running High School bus, the PD's explain that while at Freedom Park, if they are nice to their schoolmates or something, they will get a gold badge.
At Freedom Park, everyone is given different missions and once they complete them, they have to meet up at a certain place. Along the way however, the boys meet high school girls (Woolim Entertainment's new girl group) and they are given certain items. Gwangsoo received a towel, Suk jin received a toothbrush, Gary received a letter with chocolate cookies and Kookie received a tshirt.
Inhabited Island: After completing the missions, the members travel by bus to leave on a boat that will take them to an island with no people on there. They will stay there all night because the next boat doesn't leave till morning. Once they reach the island, they are told to look for Running Man stickers and get the answer to the quizzes right. Seems easy enough, everyone feels weird because the missions today are too easy, causing speculation. Of course. This is what I don't like about Running Man anymore. Apart from the members acting, everything is too predictable. When there are guests, the guests is always the spy or they recruit the help of someone else. If the missions seem too easy, everyone starts to speculate. It's just too predictable now. I miss the intense, non-predictable Running Man. To me, it seems it's no longer as awesome as it used to be.
Anyways, the high school girls show up so Haha receives hair spray, Ji hyo receives a makeup pouch, Jae suk receives flip fops.
They arrive at their lodge and it's really pretty! Then they come out at night around a campfire and sing songs. See, this is what I love the most about Running Man, their sincere, realistic moments. All of a sudden, Jong Kook asks if anyone could tell ghost stories. Of course. And they all mention about how during their trainee days, they would see people in the mirror when no one was there. Creepy. Then, Haha sees a woman, running in the background and they start screaming. I was somewhat creeped out, but I thought it was scripted. But they were really scared, it turned out to be one of their pds LOL.
The members have to embark on a Treasure Hunt, they have to find the hidden items and report back. Of course everyone is feeling creeped out so they make sure not to separate LOL.
They go back to the lodge and they are locked inside, and the lights are off. Holy crap, I couldn't do that, I'd be scared out of my mind lol. Everyone is on edge, being scared and trying to look for the treasure, but they can't find anything. They finally go back to their rooms and Jae Suk and Suk jin realize there are walkie talkies on their beds! Each member has a walkie talkie, however there is no one on the other end. Creepy. They walk along, and realize there are flags of different countries on doors.
Suk Jin and others find tvs that keep showing 'You and I' the tv show with Lee Hyori.
Gary has been acting really weird and Gwangsoo is suspicious of him. Gwangsoo questions Gary to see if he got anything(from the schoolgirls) but both of them are bad at lying lol. All of a sudden, Gary goes into a room with a PD and we are told he is a zombie lol. Flashback to when he received the letter and chocolate cookies from the schoolgirl. She was a zombie too, and in the letter, he has to become a zombie and rip off the Running Man tags to turn them into zombies. It is now Zombies vs Humans. Kekeke, cheesy. Cue the retarded effects lol.
Meanwhile, Jae suk, Suk jin and Gwangsoo start talking about the items they received from the girls and they can't figure anything out.
Gary walks by and sees Jong Kook in a room by himself. They start showing each other what they received from the schoolgirls, then Ji hyo walks in. Gary has the perfect opportunity to get Jong Kook out and make him a zombie since he's strong. However, while I was thinking about it, doesn't it seem weird? Normally, when there is a spy and two potential victims are in the room, they have to wait it out, because while getting one person out, the other one there in the room will freak out and it'll be revealed that that person is a spy. However, this didn't happen. While Ji hyo had Jong Kook's attention with getting out her item, Gary rips off Jong Kook's tag. Then, flashback. Gary got Ji hyo out first and made her a zombie. Ohhhh ok, it was bait. Interesting lol. So now Gary, Jong Kook, and Ji Hyo are zombies.
The other members are downstairs watching the tv, thinking there's a hidden message in the 'You and I' show, but when Jong Kook Zombie comes down stairs, the tv all of a sudden changes to the SBS News. The reporter says there's a zombie with the Running High School on the island and no one is leaving. They have to beware of the zombie. There are two methods of attacking the zombies, fluid, and a water gun, hidden amongst the 6 rooms with the country flags on them from earlier. However, in order to stop the zombies, they have to take out the original zombie in order to succeed. Then the reporter is attacked and dies dramatically lol. And Gwangsoo reacts dramatically LOL.
Everyone is freaking out, trying to find out who the zombie is LOL. Uh oh. Trouble in Zombie Paradise.
The humans are panicking so they can find the water gun. They are searching recklessly in the rooms with the flags, however they obviously didn't make it seem easy. The zombies are looking everywhere too so that they can get rid of the weapons.
All of a sudden, thanks to the PDs no doubt, the members start looking at their items again and noticing they are from different places. Haha's hair spray is Japanese, Jae suk's flip flops are from Vietnam, Suk Jin's toothbrush is from the US. Suk jin gets to the room first and finds the water gun! Nooooo!
Jae suk goes to Vietnam and too finds a water gun, however, a note says the zombie cannot be beaten the water gun alone, they must too take off the name tag.
Jae suk runs into Jong Kook and he tells him he got it in Vietnam, but Jaesuk leaves. He feels suspicious because Jong Kook keeps looking for him, telling him he needs the fluid.
Everyone is freaking out because they don't know who to trust lol, daebak!! I like this episode! Jaesuk and Haha go to Japan and since Jaesuk can't trust him, he goes to look for the case himself. He opens it and finds nothing there....oh really??? Hmmm....Jaesuk immediately panics LMAOOOOOOOOO, Jaesuk won't let Haha in the Japan room and he is freaking out lol. Gwangsoo appears and it is chaos however Jae suk lets them in. Hahaha, then Ji hyo appears. Uh oh. Haha takes Ji hyo's pouch and runs, not saying the country it is made from.
In China, Suk jin suspects that since alot of things are made in China, obviously there would be something in there. Of course there is and that is where Ji hyo's makeup pouch is made from. He finds the fluid needed for the water gun. Uh oh. But luckily, they have to take nametags out too, so at least the Zombie Team have a chance.
Jae suk and Haha find Gwangsoo and he has the fluid needed for the watergun! *gasp* so is he a zombie, or just a human looking for the watergun? He's too suspicious therefore he has to be a zombie. Then Jong Kook comes, uh oh, and everyone panics. I think they all believe Jong Kook is a zombie but they all start framing each other. It's hilarious, us as viewers also don't know who is a zombie. So far, we only know Jong Kook, Ji hyo and Gary, but there could be others!!
With Jong Kook's word, they give the fluid back to Gwangsoo and they make partners. Gwangsoo with Jae suk and Haha and Jong Kook. Oh?? They agree that the target should be Suk jin LMAO, as usual.
Gwangsoo gives some of the liquid to Jae suk, so it seems then that Gwangsoo trusts him and he's not a zombie then, otherwise he would've ripped Jae suk's name tag off OR he's just waiting for the right moment. Either way, we're running out of time since Suk Jin is alone has both the water gun and fluid, and now Jae Suk and Gwangsoo are a "team". They meet up with Suk jin in the dark and all of a sudden since they are suspecting him with his dumb self, he says, "Let's go to the brighter side!" BABOOOOOOOOO!! During the news special, it is said that zombies don't like darkness. I find that extremely retarded because why would something that demonic like to be in the light? Anyways, Gwangsoo's dumb self reveals his identity, so Suk jin shoots, and rips off his name tag, revealing the zombie. Great!
Flashback: Gwangsoo found the fluid and accidentally went to a conference room with the other zombies lol. Gwangsoo shows them the fluid and they turn off the lights because Ji hyo said that it would glow. However, it means that the reason why zombies don't like darkness is because THEIR NAME TAGS GLOW!!! Aajr;gjlahgjldkajl are you kidding me?? This is totally unfair!! I'm rooting for the Zombie Team!!!!!!!!!! WHY RUNNING MAN WHY?!!
Gwangsoo is out and they too find out about the glowing name tags. Great. Haha and Jong Kook come down stairs and Sukjin and Jae suk, the Old Team, are waiting with their water guns, planning on shooting both of them, no matter who is the zombie or not. They start suspecting again and Suk jin gets Jong Kook out, revealing him as a zombie. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. *tear*
Gary finally sets out since it's now just him and Ji hyo left as zombies.
Haha is still under suspicion so he goes into a dark area with Suk jin while Ji hyo stays with Jae suk. However, she nods to someone and Gary comes out, setting Jae suk into panic mode. He's screaming that it's Gary, he's the original zombie and runs away into the darkness. Ji hyo and Haha go up to find him anyway, revealing his glowing name tag, so he's a zombie too! They chase Jae suk and steal his water gun!!!!!!!!!
They run back to where Suk jin is and leave Jae suk lifeless since he's pretty much useless. The zombies are confidant so Ji hyo goes off to find Gary. However, Jae suk sneaks up behind him and grabs him. Together, Suk jin and Jae suk get Haha out. GREAT!
Now, Gary and Ji hyo, the Monday Couple remain. Aww.
After an intense battle of going round and round, the zombies finally win and beat Jae Suk. Daebak.
Apparently, Gary lived 100 years ago and they find a photo of him LOL
This was a really good episode because everyone was cynical, and the race could go either way, I honestly didn't know how it would end so kudos to Running Man!!
