Gu Family Book Episode 20 Review

Just in time for Father's Day, Wol Ryung wins "Father of the Year" sike lmao.
This episode was so short, I feel like so much happened and then so much didn't happen.
Basically Seo Hwa is still throwing off the groove but she eventually gets it back. She was so focused on revenge that she blew her cover and had her own crew members kick her out and have her killed. That's cold man. But hey. I still don't quite know what her motive was. Did she partake in Goonbon JUST to one day kill Jo Gwan-woong?? I'm sure she really was all for Japan and what not, but she just got so caught up in killing Gwan-woong that her crew had to drop her. No hard feelings.

Kang Chi is able to pretty much control when he can change from beast to human without the help of the bracelet or being close in proximity to Yeo-Wool. Cool cool. And NOW with that, we finally get a mention of Kang Chi searching for the Gu Family Book. YAS! I was beginning to think this show had lost it's objective and subject!!
Gwan-woong gets a greeting from the sexy Wol Ryung and they pretty much reach a negotiation. Gwan-woong survives if he tells him where Seo Hwa is. Great. What a bish. But to be honest, Gwan-woong has a point! Wol Ryung at this point has no recollection of his past whatsoever, only that Seo Hwa is the bane for his current state. And that's true! Without Seo Hwa selling Wol Ryung out, things wouldn't be so tragic for the family currently. Yeo Wool hasn't sold Kang Chi out so for that Seo Hwa is a hoe.

But Seo Hwa gets browny points for redeeming her relationship with Kang Chi so now her story line can come to an end if need be. Talk about perfect timing.
Just as Kang Chi and Seo Hwa reconcile Wol Ryung is ready to kill her. But now that means Kang Chi has so much more at stake so we have faith in his abilities to try and kill his father.

I'm still rooting for the "Love conquers all, true love prevails through evil" thing to happen but I think we all know it won't. But still....
