Bridal Mask Episode 9 Review

There wasn't much to this episode except flashbacks, a little comic relief, and Shunji going further into the dark side. Major points you need to know:

1) Shunji and Kang-to became friends because Kang-to was literally begging the Japanese to teach him Kendo so he can become an Imperial Officer. Kenji, who was even a douche back then, was beating Kang-to up and being racist. However, Shunji showed compassion and taught him Kendo. During a match to become officers, Shunji lost to Kang-to on purpose so he can become a teacher and Kang-to reach his goals. Awww, they were so cute!! A cute bromance!!

2) Shunji goes back to the circus troupe to capture Mok Dan again. They are under 24 hr surveillance and Shunji has pretty much gone over to the dark side. He tells Mok Dan that he didn't release her just because he's kind hearted. He's wearing the imperial uniform so that he can capture Gaksital and avenge his brother's death. Yep, Shunji is a dead man walking.

3) Kang-to is sexy as hell and Joo Won will be my baby daddy lol. If you haven't seen his sexy wave dance, look it up on youtube right after you finish reading this review!!

4) Gaksital did not kill President Jo, but instead, he took him out into the streets of Kyeong San naked, and left him to the people to beat him up LOL. Abe was there too LOL. Then, Gaksital showed up. Uh oh. Gaksital isn't dead and this makes Kimura and Shunji look bad now...

5) Damsari, Mok Dan's father, is the mysterious mustached man from the train that appeared in the last episode. They reunite and he wants Mok Dan to bring Gaksital in for their cause.

6) Konno has Kimura arrested and taken in for questioning...and Kang-to had to do it. So... Shunji is hella pissed at him and wants to join Kishokai. Uhhhhhhhhh ohhhhhhhhhh. Yea Shunji is a dead man walking. After Kimura is released, Shunji promises Kang-to that he will find out exactly why he was arrested.
Oh, and he's gonna kill Gaksital with his own hands. Shunji has OFFICIALLY gone over to the dark side...the dark, dark side.

Man, I wasn't expecting this at all. Who would've thought that Kang-to would become Gaksital, that Shunji would become Darth Vader, who knew??! And how the hell is Kang-to gonna be in 2 places at one time?? Once again, people were asking, 'Have you seen Gaksital? He has reappeared?' and are getting suspicious. Kang-to keeps disappearing when Gaksital appears so eventually they will catch on. And I will love to see the day when that happens! Also, this little love line or triangle is getting ridiculous. The writers don't need this foolishness. Mok Dan can't act. Her crying seemed like she was forcing herself, no real emotion! I feel like the love story is forced anyway. We need to stick with the main task at hand!!
